Role Purpose
As an SP and FET Phase Maths/Maths Literacy Educator at SPARK Schools, your mission is to drive student achievement by creating an engaging, high-expectation classroom culture. You will specialize in Mathematics and Mathematical Literacy, equipping scholars with the tools and knowledge required for matriculation and future success.
Collaborating with colleagues, you will deliver an integrated, inquiry-based curriculum and foster a rigorous yet supportive learning environment that aligns with SPARK Schools’ vision of transformational education.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement the SPARK Schools’ inquiry-based curriculum for Mathematics and Mathematical Literacy.
- Establish and maintain high expectations for student behavior, classroom culture, and academic growth.
- Use data-driven strategies to anticipate student needs and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance interdisciplinary learning experiences.
- Prepare students for matriculation, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Actively contribute to SPARK Schools’ culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
Minimum Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Mathematics, Mathematical Literacy, or a related field.
- Teaching certification (SACE registration preferred).
- Experience teaching SP and/or FET Phase Mathematics/Maths Literacy in a high-performing school setting.
- Strong command of technology-enabled teaching tools and blended learning practices.
