KFC is seeking a Food Service Team Member to join our dynamic team. As a Team Member, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth operation of our kitchen, deliver fast and friendly service to customers, process orders, handle payments, and perform additional tasks as required. Your efficiency and dedication will contribute to our ability to serve delicious food to our customers promptly.
Responsibilities
As a Food Service Team Member, you will be responsible for:
- Quickly and accurately cooking KFC products using kitchen equipment.
- Managing multiple orders while ensuring accurate preparation.
- Cutting and preparing ingredients for cooking according to order instructions.
- Ensuring each order is correct and well-packaged.
- Following preparation charts to prepare and wrap food according to specific orders.
- Managing food supplies and equipment to work efficiently.
- Keeping the kitchen and cooking areas clean and safe.
- Receiving and storing new supplies carefully to prevent spoilage and maintain freshness.
- Notifying the manager of low supplies or equipment issues.
- Verifying prepared food meets quality and quantity standards.
- Following proper closing procedures.
- Welcoming customers with a friendly smile and suggesting items, specials, and promotions.
- Using the cash register or computer to ring up orders correctly and process payments.
- Assisting customers with orders over the counter and over the phone.
- Bringing orders to customers at windows, counters, or tables.
- Keeping the front of the house clean and organized during your shift.
- Taking on additional responsibilities as needed to keep the restaurant running smoothly.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Matric qualification.
- Proficiency in English.
- A clear criminal record.
Preferences
While meeting the preferences is a plus, it is not mandatory:
- Other relevant experience.
- Residing within 15km from the job location.
