Job Description

Avocet Scales and Labels (Pty) Ltd, a provider of weighing scales, label printers, and related consumables, is seeking a Helpdesk Administrator to join their team. The role involves troubleshooting, software installation, drafting quotations, and providing first-call resolution to clients.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
  2. Work overtime as required.
  3. Update company policies and procedures.
  4. Troubleshoot and solve technical issues.
  5. Install and upgrade software for external customers.
  6. Draft and manage quotations.
  7. Provide remote diagnostics and mobile support.
  8. Log and allocate service calls to technicians.
  9. Meet service targets while working under pressure.
  10. Organize and prioritize tasks to address critical problems first.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

  • Education: Grade 12 (Post Matric Qualification preferred)
  • Experience: 6 months to 1-2 years in a similar role
  • Skills:
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent phone mannerisms
