About the Role

Motus Aftermarket Parts is looking for a Store Man to join the team at Soshanguve Midas. This is a permanent position in the automotive industry, perfect for someone who takes pride in keeping things organised and accurate.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your responsibilities will cover the full stock control cycle:

Receiving and Inspection

  • Receiving goods delivered by suppliers and verifying quantities against invoices, purchase orders, and other documentation.
  • Inspecting goods to ensure they meet quality standards and are free from damage.
  • Preparing and processing Goods Received Notes (GRNs) for all received stock.

Storage Management

  • Allocating and maintaining designated storage locations for stock items.
  • Ensuring stock is stored safely and efficiently for easy identification and retrieval.
  • Implementing measures to protect stock from damage, theft, or loss.

Inventory Control

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date inventory records reflecting all stock movements.
  • Monitoring stock levels and reporting low-stock items to ensure timely replenishment.
  • Conducting periodic stock counts and assisting with stock reconciliations.

Material Issuing

  • Issuing stock and materials in accordance with approved job cards, invoices, and credit notes.
  • Ensuring all stock issued is accurately recorded and supported by the relevant documentation.

Record Keeping and Administration

  • Maintaining accurate records of all inventory transactions.
  • Ensuring all warehouse documentation is filed, updated, and readily available for audit purposes.
  • Capturing and updating stock information on relevant systems.

Housekeeping and Safety

  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe store environment.
  • Adhering to all health and safety procedures when handling stock, equipment, and materials.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you’ll need:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or inventory control environment will be advantageous.

  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Physical stamina and ability to handle heavy objects.
