About the HIAB Truck Driver Role
Watershed Consulting is looking for an experienced HIAB Truck Driver to join a client’s operation in Rustenburg, North West.
This is a limited duration contract position, and it’s an Employment Equity (EE) vacancy. The salary is market related.
The main purpose of this role is to safely operate and maintain the company vehicle, ensure timely delivery and collection of goods and documentation, and support the Stores and Branch operations — all while keeping customer service, safety, and SHEQ compliance at a high standard.
If you have a solid driving record, HIAB experience, and know the Rustenburg mining routes well, this could be a good fit.
What You’ll Be Doing
Your key responsibilities will include:
Driving & Deliveries
- Safely transporting and delivering goods, equipment, and documentation to customers and branches.
- Loading, securing, transporting, and offloading goods — ensuring items are delivered correctly and without damage.
- Completing delivery notes, returns, and vehicle logbooks accurately.
- Conducting daily vehicle inspections and reporting any defects, accidents, or maintenance requirements.
- Keeping the vehicle clean, safe, and in good working condition.
Stores Support
- Assisting with Stores duties including picking, packing, stock counts, and stocktaking.
- Ensuring stock is handled and recorded correctly according to bin codes and procedures.
- Assisting with general Branch operational duties as required.
Customer & Compliance
- Liaising professionally with customers and assisting with customer queries and complaints.
- Complying with customer mine-site requirements, company policies, ISO, and SHEQ standards.
HIAB Truck Driver Requirements
To be considered a HIAB Truck Driver, you’ll need:
- Matric / Grade 12.
- Valid Code 10 Driver’s Licence.
- Clean driving record.
- HIAB experience is a requirement.
- Previous experience with deliveries to mines in and around Rustenburg.
- Good knowledge of local routes and surrounding areas.
- Computer literate.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, responsible, and safety-conscious.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Customer-focused with good organisational skills.
Desired Work Experience
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
Desired Qualification Level
- Grade 12 / Matric.
