Position Overview
Dis-Chem Pharmacies in Midrand has an opening for an Accounts Receivable Debt Administrator to join their team. This role involves the meticulous and accurate maintenance of the debtors’ ledger by proficiently collecting outstanding debts owed to the Group.
Minimum Prerequisites
Essential:
- Grade 12 – Matric or Senior Certificate and/or a relevant Accounting Qualification
- 1 – 2 years of experience in a debt collection environment
Advantageous:
- Debt collection experience within a pharmaceutical environment
Role Specifications
- Open and manage accounts following standard operating procedures.
- Conduct thorough ITC checks for accounts before approval.
- Receive and allocate daily payments from customers to the correct accounts.
- Report customer complaints and anomalies to management.
- Generate weekly debtors’ age analysis reports for managerial review.
- Contact customers to ensure statements and invoices reflect outstanding amounts and obtain payment commitments.
- Maintain detailed records of all customer correspondence and interactions.
- Update and keep accurate records of customer details in the master data.
- Prepare and reconcile debtors’ accounts, resolving any outstanding queries.
- Monitor age analysis to ensure debt does not exceed 60 days.
- Communicate monthly with each customer to collect outstanding debts.
- Resolve disputes with customers and ensure all account queries and enquiries are promptly addressed.
- Comply with Dis-Chem’s Policies, Procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Adhere to Health and Safety regulations.
