As a Cashier at FNB, you will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient operation of our food and beverage services. Your attention to detail and commitment to compliance will ensure we maintain the highest standards of service delivery while securely handling financial transactions and system resources.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance and Governance
- Ensure adherence to all legislative, regulatory and audit requirements
- Maintain compliance with internal governance policies and procedures
- Handle all cash, floats, passwords and POS systems with maximum security
- Participate in regular stock takes and inventory reconciliation
- Follow established protocols for financial transactions and reporting
Operational Support
- Assist in daily management of food and beverage operations
- Support service preparation through till setup and float management
- Ensure POS systems are fully functional before service begins
- Prepare and verify till floats and required stationery
- Deliver accurate administrative support through effective planning
Administrative Excellence
- Maintain and update operational data accurately
- Track inventory and assist with reconciliation processes
- Generate reports on cash handling and transaction activities
- Ensure timely completion of all administrative tasks
- Maintain organized records of all financial transactions
Cashier Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
- Matric certificate or Hospitality qualification
- 2 years of experience in a similar cashier or hospitality role
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Understanding of basic financial controls and procedures
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
Advantageous Experience:
- Previous exposure to food and beverage operations
- Experience in stock management and inventory control
- Background in hospitality or retail environments
- Knowledge of compliance requirements in financial handling
