Introduction to EATI:
Established in 1898, the Elsenburg Agricultural Training Institute (EATI) holds the distinction of being the first agricultural college in Southern Africa. The EATI Bursary 2025:
The EATI Bursary, awarded annually, serves as a beacon of hope for students aspiring to pursue agricultural sciences but facing financial constraints. Designed to support individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds and those with disabilities, the bursary aims to foster inclusivity and diversity within the agricultural sector. Recipients of the bursary have the opportunity to pursue a range of qualifications, from learnerships at NQF level 1 to a prestigious B. Agric degree at NQF level 7. Courses covered by the bursary include BAgric degree, Diploma in agriculture, Equine studies, as well as other non-accredited short-term courses and higher certificates in agriculture, all exclusively offered at EATI.
EATI Bursary Eligibility Requirements:
To qualify for the EATI Bursary, applicants must meet specific criteria:
- South African citizenship.
- Completion of matric or nearing completion.
- Intent to pursue agricultural courses at EATI.
- Not benefiting from other bursaries with service obligations.
- Demonstrated financial need for tuition.
Preference is given to female, black students, and students with disabilities, reflecting EATI’s commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion within the agricultural sector.
Application Process:

- Download and complete the Elsenburg Agriculture Training Institute Bursary Application form.

- Parents’ or guardians’ ID cards and income proof
- 3 months’ bank statements of the applicant and parents or guardian.
