Introduction:

Servier Laboratories is offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our HR Learnership Program. This program is designed to provide aspiring HR professionals with hands-on experience and comprehensive training in various aspects of human resources within the pharmaceutical industry. The opportunity also includes general front desk coverage, such as greeting guests, answering and directing incoming calls, maintaining supplies, and ensuring the reception area is presentable, as well as handling mail distribution.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Front Desk Management

  • Manning the office front desk (reception): Handle incoming calls in a professional and polite manner while assisting the caller with relevant information and direction.
  • Greeting visitors and guests: Direct guests to the relevant employees, ensuring a welcoming and efficient front desk experience.

HR Process Support

  • Provide HR process support: This includes scheduling appointments, maintaining records, and providing process-related guidance and information to employees.
  • Coordinate internal team-building events: Work with the Social Committee and HR delegates to manage the logistics, communication, catering, setup, and tear-down of events.

Administrative Tasks

  • Scheduling appointments: Utilize Microsoft Outlook calendars for the HR and training team, including booking conference rooms and necessary hardware.
  • Track office supply inventory: Order office and kitchen supplies as needed using a cost-effective approach.
  • Maintain office areas: Ensure conference rooms, workrooms, kitchens, and the lobby are orderly and support office duties and responsibilities.

Interdepartmental and Operational Support

  • Identify, recommend, and implement solutions: Improve interdepartmental and business operations processes.
  • Provide ad-hoc support: Assist with various tasks as requested by HR and Learning & Development (L&D) departments.

Recruitment and Onboarding Support

  • Assist in recruitment processes: Coordinate flights, lunches, and diary appointments for applicants, internal delegates, and successful candidates.
  • Contact service providers: Arrange for the servicing of office equipment and handle building queries with the landlord.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Manage lunch claim expenses: Vet, approve, decline, and communicate regarding lunch claims.
  • Liaise with Postnet: Handle weekly collections and delivery.
  • Maintain basement storage: Ensure storage areas are well-kept and organized.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word, and other office systems is necessary.

Job Requirements:

  • Completed HR qualification: Degree or Diploma from a recognized institution.
  • No prior learnership completion: Must not have completed a learnership previously.
  • Human resources/administration experience: 0 – 1 year of experience in HR or administrative roles.
