Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited, a leading retailer in South Africa, is looking for a talented ESG Administrator to join their team at the Head Office in Midrand, Gauteng. Job Overview
As an ESG Administrator, your primary responsibility will be to provide comprehensive administrative support for ESG and SHE initiatives. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of programs that align with Dis-Chem’s sustainability and safety goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Administrative Support: You will manage the daily administrative tasks for the ESG and SHE departments. This includes scheduling and coordinating committee meetings, documenting and circulating meeting minutes, and following up on action plans with relevant stakeholders.
- Project Coordination: The role involves supporting various ESG and SHE projects and events. You’ll ensure that all activities are organized efficiently, from planning to execution, and that they align with the company’s sustainability objectives.
- Policy Implementation: You will assist in the implementation of program policies and procedures by tracking progress, maintaining document control, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Communication and Liaison: Regular interaction with both internal and external stakeholders is crucial. You’ll use various communication methods to keep everyone informed about departmental requirements and initiatives.
- Document Control: Acting as the document controller for SHE management system documents, you’ll prepare and update file templates and checklists, ensuring that all documentation is current and compliant with ISO standards.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Education: A Grade 12/Matric certificate is essential, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science or Business Administration.
- Experience: A minimum of 2–3 years in administration or program coordination is required. Experience in SHE or ESG administration, particularly within a corporate setting, is advantageous.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and database management is necessary.
