Job Overview

We are seeking a Store Admin Manager for our Durban CBD location. This role focuses on ensuring top-tier customer service and meeting sales targets through effective management of people and retail disciplines at the store level. You will be responsible for the store’s administrative functions and act as an assistant to the Store Manager.
Key Responsibilities
1. Adherence to Policies and Procedures
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly admin checks according to guidelines.
- Perform daily tasks such as declarations, cash preparation for banking, and logging issues related to stock, maintenance, or cash.
- Transfer and enforce information from instruction letters (RIL, MIL, PCI, SMIL, and Memo) while ensuring deadlines are met.
2. Cash Control
- Provide adequate POS training and support to staff.
- Ensure cash control and banking processes are followed daily.
- Investigate, follow up, and clear any cash variances.
- Capture manual transactions promptly once the store is back online.
3. Stock Control
- Offer stock management training and support to staff.
- Ensure daily adherence to stock management processes.
- Investigate and clear stock variances.
- Prepare for and conduct weekly and quarterly stock counts accurately.
- Complete the weekly shoe pairing exercise and control write-offs adequately.
4. Store Management in the Absence of the Store Manager
- Ensure the store opens and trades according to requirements.
- Maintain customer relations and ensure adequate staffing and planning.
- Follow instructions and to-do lists.
- Administer disciplinary actions as necessary and maintain HR relations.
5. Customer Service
- Develop a service-oriented culture within the store.
- Build strong internal and external customer relationships.
- Coach and train staff on an ongoing basis.
- Role model customer-centricity and service excellence.
Minimum Requirements
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of retail experience.
- At least 2 years of administration management experience.
- Experience working in a large retail store with an annual turnover exceeding R 20 million.
Qualifications:
- Completed Matric/Grade 12.
- A Tertiary Retail Qualification is advantageous.
Additional Requirements:
- Strong numeracy skills.
- Knowledge of retail administration disciplines.
- Proficient in stock and cash management.
