Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Manager to oversee the operations of a prominent warehouse facility in Roodepoort, Johannesburg. Our client, a leading supplier of quality furnishing fabrics and wallpaper, requires a strong leader with proven management skills to ensure efficient and effective warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee Warehouse Operations: Ensure all warehouse processes are efficient and effective.
• Team Management: Lead and manage the warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance.
• General Management Duties: Handle all staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluations related to the warehouse.
• Facility Maintenance: Ensure all equipment and infrastructure are well-maintained and in good working condition.
• Logistics Coordination: Manage logistics operations, including the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods.
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate records to ensure optimal stock levels.
• Safety Protocols: Implement and enforce safety measures to maintain a safe working environment for all staff.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, sales, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely product delivery.

Minimum Requirements

• Proven experience in warehouse management.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory management.
• Ability to manage a team and collaborate with other departments.
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is an advantage.
